Actor Harshvardhan Kapoor, who loves playing the skill game of poker, has been named as a wild card entry for Kolkata Royals, a team owned by Ankkit Bhadur of Playboy North, Taarun V Jain of Legend.
It is interesting to note that PSL featuring 12 franchises has chosen their players at an auction to complete their teams for the first season of the league. The bidding for the big event saw several wild card players being announced by team owners. Apart from Harshvardhan of the Kolkata Royals, former Mrs. India World Shilpa Bhagat has also been named a wild card player for Hyderabad KINGS.
The PSL (Poker Sports League) is the brainchild of Amit Burman, Vice Chairman, Dabur India Ltd, who has partnered with Anuj Gupta, Co-Founder of India’s largest poker site-Adda52.com. Led by Pranav Bagai and Nikita Luther, the league aims to sportify poker and offers poker enthusiasts a platform to play poker like sports. In PSL, players will compete for INR 3.36 crore. The opening PSL season begins from May 22 with a two-day boot camp, which is followed by the finale at Deltin Royale Casino Goa from May 24-28.
