Sundays are always big on Adda52 and yesterday was no exception with two major tournaments taking place. The biggest guaranteed Sunday tournament on India’s No.1 Poker Site was the 25 Lac GTD Mega Suits that drew a strong 450-entry field and crowned a winner in none other than India’s first WSOP bracelet winner Aditya Sushant aka ‘A_Sushant’ who earned INR 4,92,458 after a three-way deal with Chandan Arora (2nd) and Harsh Dembla (3rd), both taking home INR 3,93,631.
The Chennai pro Sushant has been one of the most consistent players both on the live as well as the virtual felts. Sushant is also one of the few players to have shipped Adda52 Millions four times. It was his second Mega Suits win this year as he had also won the same tournament in March 2019. Some of his other major scores include his win in Hitman, Judwaa (twice) and Godfather (twice), plus a few runner-up finish in Beast, Godfather 5.0, Whale, Roar, Blaze, Godfather 7.0 and other events.
Post his win, we caught-up with Sushant to ask him how he felt after winning Mega Suits last night and he said, “Have a lot of scores (on Adda52) but nothing in a while. Not because of luck but out of choice. Wasn’t playing on Adda52 for a while and still not sure how much I’ll play unless something changes. Current scenario just feels too painful. Having said that, this was my 2nd Mega Suits win. Both this year. That’s cool.”
Talking about the field and his tournament journey, the eventual winner said, “Field was a mixed bag like it usually is. I was playing a lot of tables and since this was one of the last to start, I was just auto-piloting for a while. I was middle of the pack to start the final table. I won a couple of key all-in pots with AK and ended up chipping away into chip lead when there were 4 or 5 left.”
Sushant has been a regular to WPT India events taking place at the Deltin Royale in Goa. He had won the WPT India Kickoff event just last year. When asked about his experience at the WPT India last year and his plans for upcoming WPT India starting from 15th October 2019, he said, “Experience was good. Professional set-up when it comes to WPT. Looking forward to it but not overly enthusiastic. Things have changed. More is expected out of operators now. And with the stiff competition in the live arena, ones not offering much relief to players (that includes WPT) shouldn’t get much traction going forwards, I guess. The recent IPC raised the bar in many ways and a lot is expected now by players. It’s going to be a long stretch in Goa for me starting with BPT. So, I’ll be hanging around for WPT as well after that.”
We also managed a chat with Chandan Arora who said, “It’s anyways great to play with all the stalwarts of the game. There was no heads-up since it was late in night and we made a 3-way deal.”
Top 49 were paid out with a min-cash of INR 13,750. Like the previous one, this Mega Suits too saw many pros and regs in contention and some of them to finish deep were latest Godfather X SNG winner Aditya Degala (5th for INR 1,25,000),Godfather 8.0 winner Goonjan Mall (10th for INR 31,250), recent Mega Suits winner Himanshu Arora (11th for INR 31,250), recent Big Slick winner Manish Lakhotia (13th for INR 25k), Yohan Patel (15th for INR 25k), Naresh Rathnam (16th for INR 21,250), Sam Anand (17th for INR 21,250) and past Mega Suits winner Siddarth Singhvi (20th for INR 18,750).

15 Lac GTD Big Slick
Adda52’s second major Sunday event featured INR 15 Lac in guaranteed prize pool at just NR 2,200 buy-in. The high-value tournament drew 727 hopefuls to the felts, resulting in INR 15 Lac + prizepool.
