AOPS Day 10: ‘thejokerrrr’, Shashank Jain & Deepak Bothra Shine!

We are just one day away to wrap up the fantastic 11-day long Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS). Day 10 of the flagship series served up six tournaments, including the DAY 1C and 1D of the 2 Crore GTD Main Event. The biggest tournament tournament to conclude last night was the 12.5 Lac GTD AOPS Candolim that pulled in a total of 374 entries and generated INR 14.96 Lac in the prizepool.

While 38 players got paid, the lion’s share went to ‘thejokerrrr’ who walked away with INR 2.75 Lac prizemoney after a heads-up deal with ‘fitzmagic’ who banked INR 2.66 Lac for his runner-up finish.

The online regular ‘thejokerrrr’ came out on top of the strong final table that featured solid regs in Puneet Mishra (5th), Ankit Modi (6th) and previous AOPS Leaderboard winner Siddarth Singhvi (7th).

2 Crore GTD AOPS Main Event Day 1C & Day 1D

Action at the ongoing Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) has intensified with the most-awaited tournament of the series, the 2 Crore GTD AOPS Main Event featuring INR 11K buy-in. The event kicked off in style, with two of its six flights playing out on Friday and attracting a healthy turnout.

Day 1A registered 193 entries, while Day 1B attracted 237 entries. Only 55 survivors (Day 1A – 23 and Day 1B – 32) qualified from the first two starting flights with Rahul ‘lucky_bastered’ Mech being the overall chip leader with 319k in chips. Yesterday saw Day 1C of the marquee tourney and only 35 could advance out of 256 entries. Following 29 levels of play, the day ended with ‘honk30’ bagging the chip lead with 338k chips. He was followed by Deepak Bothra (316k), and KA21 (255k). Some other notable players to advance were Kavish Kukreja (201k) and Ashish Munot (170k chips).

Top 10 Chip Counts From Day 1C:

Day 1D of the AOPS Main Event drew a total of 323 entries and only 41 players could advance to the finale. Among them, Shashank Jain ended the day as chip leader with a 430k stack. Other big stacks from the day included Vinayak Bajaj (252k), Naresh Veeravalli (230k) and Raghav Bansal (196k).

5 Lac GTD AOPS Moonlight

The second AOPS biggest tourney to conclude was the 5 Lac GTD Moonlight that did reasonably well, drawing an impressive field with 380 entries and resulting in INR 6.23 Lac prizepool, which eventually got distributed among the top 38 players. Banking the lion’s share was ‘kutkut69A’ who eventually defeated ‘Pfeiffer’ (2nd for INR 94,415) in the heads-up and walked away with INR 1.55 Lac for his win. Amit Dhall (3rd ), ‘kasatankit’ (6th) and Uday Moola (7th) were the notable FT finishers.

3.5 Lac GTD AOPS Brunch 

The day began in style with the AOPS Brunch logging in a total of 340 entries and creating INR 3.86 Lac prizepool, which was ultimately shared by the top 38 finishers. Coming out on top of the field was ‘akb786’ who banked INR 90,370 after outlasting ‘chocha’ (2nd for INR 83,712) in the heads-up.

Other Winners From Day 10

Raghav ‘Raghavv’ Siddalinga overcame a field of 243 entries in the 2 Lac GTD AOPS Under The Gun to walk away with INR 54,900. He outlasted a tough final table that featured Devrat Singh (2nd for INR 32,000), Kunal Sharma (3rd for INR 24,000) and Ankit Modi (8th for INR 5,000).

The day eventually concluded with the 2 Lac GTD AOPS Afterparty PKO that drew a total of 372 entries and generated INR 2.97 Lac prizepool. The lion’s share went to ‘PsychoDrama’ who defeated ‘balyanbali’ (runner-up for INR 45,086) in the heads-up to walk away with INR 74,400 in top prize.
