AOPS Day 4: ‘grovahova’ Denies Mudgal Full House Win; Vikranth, Siddalinga & Sahil Among Other Big Winners

Day 4 of the Adda52 Online Poker Series (AOPS) witnessed intense poker action on the Adda52 virtual felts. More than 3800 entries were registered and this resulted in a combined prizepool of INR 1.66 Crores. While hundreds of the game’s elite grinders took to the felts to chase fame and fortune in the INR 7.8 Crore guarantee festival, a handful of them managed to achieve their goals. The star of the day was ‘grovahova’ who took down the 1 Crore GTD Full House Finale and added a hefty INR 20 Lac to his bankroll. Let us take you through quick highlights of the AOPS Day 4:

1 Crore GTD Full House

The biggest draw on the AOPS Sunday schedule was the 1 Crore GTD Full House Finale. This multi-day tournament gathered 1927 entries across five starting flights (Day 1A -333, 1B -211, 1C -334, 1D -385, & 1E -664). Only 228 made it to the epic finale of the event with 227 of them making money. In the end, topping the packed field to become the latest Full House champion was ‘grovahova’ who clashed with WPT Vietnam Champion Dhaval Mudgal in heads-up. The former eventually emerged the winner and walked away with INR 20 Lac, while the latter finished runner-up for INR 11.79 Lac.

The eventual winner ‘grovahova’ has been been enjoying a good run. He has already final-tabled AOPS Candolim and AOPS Calangute of the ongoing series. Day 4 turned out to be a memorable day for him as he went on to score his biggest win by shipping the Full House. Talking about Mudgal, the musician-turned poker pro has been in amazing form over past few weeks and has run deep across various marquee events. Last night, he made yet another deep run, finishing 2nd in Full House.

Sanat Mehrotra (3rd for INR 8 Lac), former DPT Xpress Main Event winner Bhola Sharma (4th for INR 6 Lac and Saurabh Arora (7th for INR 2 Lac) were among other notables to reach the final table.

Arora closed out Day 4 with impressive stats, final-tabling the Full House and AOPS Panjim. This fetched him enough points and he moved to the second place on the AOPS leaderboard.

Other big names who finished ITM were Tarun Goyal (11th), Ujjwal Narwal (12th), Naresh Veeravalli (19th), Deepak Singh (22nd), Kunal Patni (33rd), Vinay B. (39th), Mihir Thakkar (41st), Ashish Ahuja (42nd), Nishant Sharma (44th), Mithun Mahesh (46th), Rubin Labroo (49th), Monish Kumar (52nd), etc.

35 Lac GTD AOPS Panjim

No stranger to success, Vikranth ‘borntrouble’ Varma topped a 345-strong entry field (207 unique and 138 re-entries) in the 35 Lac GTD AOPS Panjim to claim his best score worth INR 8.75 Lac, after defeating online crusher Ujjwal ‘fourteenk’ Narwal (runner-up for INR 5.30 Lac) in heads-up.

Others who ran deep in the event included the likes of Anirban D Das (3rd), Sagar Choudhury (5th), Saurabh Arora (7th), former AOPS Godfather winner Naresh Veeravalli (8th) and Deepak Raina (9th).

20 Lac GTD AOPS Colva 

Raghav ‘Raghavv’ Siddalinga has won several tournaments on this year. He did it yet again, this time winning the 20 Lac GTD AOPS Colva. The online regular overcame a large field of 965 entries (532 unique and 433 re-entries) and pocketed the lion’s share of the INR 21.71 Lac prize pool worth INR 3.90 Lac, following a heads-up deal with ‘InchWorm’ who banked 3.71 Lac for his runner-up finish. This win fetched enough points for Raghav and he climbed to the top spot on the leaderboard.

5 Lac GTD AOPS PKO Shots

Another major tourney on the AOPS schedule last night was the 5 Lac GTD AOPS PKO Shots that pulled in a total of 232 entries and collected a prizepool worth INR 6.16 Lac, which was shared by top 24 finishers.The lion’s share eventually went to Sahil Verma aka ‘Kabi143’ who eventually defeated online grinder Ritesh Tripathi aka ‘ritesh5812’ in heads-up who walked away with INR 80K prize.

AOPS Afterparty PKO

The final event of the day was the AOPS Afterparty PKO. A total of 353 hopefuls entered it and this resulted in INR 3.60 Lac prizepool. Finally, it was unknown player ‘karan880’ who triumphed, taking home over INR 70,600 after defeating his final opponent ‘roymasvik’ (2nd for INR 42784).

AOPS Leaderboard Standings

With four days already done and dusted, the race for the 15 Lac GTD Leaderboard has tightened. With his last night’s win in the AOPS Colva, Raghav Siddalinga has climbed to the top position on the leaderboard with 548 points.
