AOPS Day 5: ‘glitch_d’ Denies Utkarsh AOPS Sinquerim Win; Anirban Ships AOPS Table For 6

It was an action-packed Monday on adda52.com with poker players coming out in big numbers to participate in 6 high-value tourneys on the AOPS schedule yesterday. As expected, all six tourneys did reasonably well, crushing their respective guarantees. More than 1900 entries came in for Day 5 of the flagship online series and a total of INR 37.26 Lac prizemoney were given away across the six tourneys. The biggest attraction of the day was the 12.5 Lac GTD AOPS Sinquerim that crowned a winner in an unknown player ‘glitch_d’ who defeated Utkarsh ‘sam20542’ Srivastava (runner-up for INR 2.45 Lac) in heads-up to walk away with an impressive INR 4.20 Lac in top prizemoney.

The marquee tourney drew 547 entries, easily crushing its gaurantee and generating a hefty INR 17.50 Lac prizepool, which was shared by top 55 finishers. The online reg ‘glitch_d’ was in amazing form last night and he outlasted a strong field, including a tough final table that featured Saurabh Arora (9th) who final-tabled two events on Day 4 of the AOPS, latest AOPS Full House runner-up Dhaval Mudgal (7th) and latest AOPS Brunch winner ‘Nit2Donk’ (6th). Eventually, he came up against Utkarsh Srivastava in heads-up who could not go all the way and finished runner-up for INR 2.45 Lac.

The second major tourney on the AOPS schedule yesterday was the 5 Lac GTD AOPS Table for 6 and it was taken down by the well-known online reg Anirban D Das who defeated a strong field of 224 entries including ‘jumper99’ in the heads-up battle to walk away with INR 1.53 Lac in top prize.

A total of INR 5.60 Lac prizepool was collected via 224 entries. Only 24 players got paid and some notables among them included the likes of Arsh Grover (3rd for INR 67,200), Bhavye Mittal (4th for INR 48,160) and Prakash Lalwani (6th for INR 23,800) and Devrat Singh (8th for INR 14,000).

Another AOPS major tourney to conclude yesterday was the 4 Lac GTD AOPS CrackJack that fared really well, drawing in a total of 174 entries and creating a guarantee-crushing INR 4.87 Lac prizepool. While top 17 players got paid, the lion’s share went to ‘mannu425’ who ultimately defeated ‘FlyInGAcE’ (runner-up for INR 68,000) and banked INR 1.08 Lac in top prizemoney.

The day began with the 3.5 Lac GTD AOPS Brunch that logged in 414 entries and generated INR 4.71 Lac prizemoney. The tournament paid out top 43 finishers, with ‘Nit2Donk’ winning it for INR 90,708. Others who ran deep included the likes of Sanjay Khanna ( 3rd for INR 73,101), Kunal Sharma (5th for INR 24,499), Manesh Rathod (6th for INR 16,490), and Saurabh Arora (11th for INR 5,889).

Among other winners, ‘uday219’ overcame a field of 221 entries including ‘queenquads’ (runner-up for INR 31,824) in heads-up to win AOPS the 1.75 Lac GTD AOPS Dusk and bank INR 54,598 prize. Ritesh Tripathi (6th for INR 8453) and Saurabh Arora (9th for INR 3978) were notable deep finishers.

The Day 5 of the ongoing flagship series eventually concluded with the 2 Lac GTD AOPS Afterparty PLO tourney that drew a total of 324 entries and generated INR 2.59 Lac prizepool. While top 34 shared the prizepool, it was ‘rinodphilip’ who banked the largest share of the prizepool worth INR 56,387. He emerged victorious after outlasting ‘zimbawe’ (2nd for INR 41,606) in the heads-up play.
