Friday proved to be a momentous day for Team India as Vinay B won India’s second series trophy in Event #40: VN₫ 88 Million Mystery Rush Bounty. His victory, yielding him VN₫ 411.30 Million (INR 14.12 Lac), unfolded in an intense all-Indian heads-up against Jatin Sablani. Vinay’s triumph marked his first live title and also stands as the second-highest live score earned by an Indian in this series. Sablani, who ended up as the runner-up, took home VN₫ 320.40 Million (INR 11 Lac) in prize money.
Vinay B previously cashed in the Mini Main Event at this USOP stop, securing the 40th spot for INR 97,700 (VN₫ 28.40 Million). Having already secured a place in Day 2 of the USOP Main Event from Day 1A at the ongoing series, Vinay’s recent victory catapulted his series earnings to a massive VN₫ 439.70 Million (INR 15.09 Lac), positioning him as the third-highest earner among Indian challengers.
Vinay also faced off against Gaurav Kalra in the heads-up of the Big Bounty NLH event at World Poker Tour (WPT) Prime India 2023. After near-misses at the couple of previous live events, Vinay finally got the monkey of his back this Friday by conquering a field of 220 entries in Event # 40.
