Saturday marked Day 21 of the WPT Online India (WPTOI) on Adda52.com and what an incredible day of poker action it was. There were as many as 9 events on tap, with seven of them crowning champions. Siddharth “sid_inimical” Jain topped the day’s charts as he championed the day’s biggest guaranteed tourney, the 15 Lac GTD WPT Saturday Special, to win INR 3.82 Lac and his first WPT Trophy. Ajay “ajaysharawat” Sharawat (won the 7 Lac GTD WPT Table for 6 for INR 1.93 Lac) and Jimmy “milliondollerdream” Arora (won the 4 Lac GTD WPT Multiplier for INR 83,011) featured among the other prominent winners of the day. 15 Lac GTD WPT Saturday Special
Headlining the WPTOI Day 21 action was the only trophy event of the day, the 15 Lac GTD WPT Saturday Special. The INR 2500 buy-in tourney logged in 616 contenders and outlasting them all was Siddarth “sid_inimical” Jain who finally outlasted the WPT Monday Feature champion Dhiraj “supernuts” Lakhotia (2nd for INR 2.17 Lac) to win it for INR 3.82 Lac and his first WPT Trophy.
Siddharth “CARDashian66” Kadel (3rd for INR 1,49,250), Anirban “AjGar5” D Das (4th for 1,08,750), Laksh ”BoomTilt23” Pal Singh (5th for INR 75,000) & Amar Iyer (7th for 41,250) also final-tabled the tourney.
7 Lac GTD WPT Table for 6
Ajay “ajaysharawat” Sharawat came out on top of a guarantee-crushing field of 309 entries in the 7 Lac GTD Table for 6 to win it for INR 1.93 Lac. Last week`s WPT Super High Roller champion, Gaurav Sood aka “gauravarod” placed runner-up for INR 1,17,034. Atif “atifsrm” Khan (5th for INR 44,419) and Abhijeet “2abhisingh” Kumar (6th for INR 28,969) also final-tabled the 10 PM tourney.
1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal Flight 21
Running alongside the WPT Saturday Special was Flight 21 of the 1 Crore GTD WPT Unreal. The flight logged in a total of 348 entrants, and only 37 of them advanced to Day 2. The mystery user “dinny9” (336,319), “Sancho456” (327,232) and “Gbarshaiya” (316,425) topped the day-end chip counts.
1 Crore GTD WPT Quad 9 Day 1F
Also running on Day 21 of the WPTOI was Day 1F of the 1 Crore GTD WPT Quad 9. The INR 9,999 buy-in event clocked in 113 entries on its Day 1F, and only 15 made the cut for Day 2. Anant Purohit aka “Pro_baba” (234,553) bagged the end of the day chip lead, with Vinay “vinay0902” Rajpal (196,987), & Prashanth “ekthatalli” Sekar (182,449) rounding out the top three stacks of the day.
“vinay2203” (won 4 Lac GTD WPT Classic for INR 1 Lac), Jimmy “milliondollerdream” Arora (won 4 Lac GTD WPT Multiplier for INR 83,011), “united57” (won 4 Lac GTD WPT Hustle for INR 1,02,920) & “Dushtp” (won 3 Lac GTD WPT Late Night PLO for INR 79,162) were the other WPTOI title winners on Saturday.
